2026 Summer Training Opportunities
The Student Employment Team is offering various trainings this summer to help student supervisors. See below for more information and to sign up for offerings!
This virtual training covers the entire hiring process - from getting a job created, to submitting job offer details, to ensuring your student employee has timecard access! This is great for first-time supervisors, or supervisors that don't hire very often!
Supervising and Mentoring Student Employees
This is an in-person training opportunity for student supervisors to receive guidance on common performance issues and best practices related to student employee management and mentorship. This is a great session to attend with fellow student supervisors!
Timecard Refresher for Student Supervisors
This is a virtual training opportunity for student supervisors to review timecard monitoring expectations, get a refresh on monthly timecard validations and biweekly timecard approvals, and learn about other timecard complications. This is also an opportunity to ask any and all timecard questions! (This training is HIGHLY recommended for ALL student supervisors!)
Federal Work Study for Student Supervisors
This is an in-person training opportunity for student supervisors to receive guidance, training, and support in hiring FWS-eligible student employees. If your department is prioritizing the utilization of the Federal Work Study budgetary incentive, this is training if for you!
