Upcoming Trainings to Help Student Supervisors

The Student Employment Team is offering several August Trainings to help Student Supervisors prepare for the return of thousands of student employees to campus! We have trainings for first-time supervisors and helpful refreshers that are beneficial for all student supervisors. 

Annual Student Supervisor Compliance Training (MANDATORY) 

• In August, all current student supervisors will be assigned a Mandatory Annual Compliance Training in Ignite.
• You will be able to locate the training in the Learning Module of Ignite.
• This training covers different elements of compliance related to hiring and supervising Baylor student employees.
• Student Employment will be providing communication and reminders to student supervisors.
• This online training will take less than one hour of your time.  

Virtual How to Hire Training (OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED) 

• This Virtual Training provides a quick refresher for student supervisors as they navigate the hiring process in Ignite.
• This training includes Q+A time with a Student Employment Specialist and is highly recommended for first-time student supervisors, too!

NEW Virtual Timecard Refresher for Student Supervisors (OPTIONAL BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)

• This is a brand new virtual training session for ALL student supervisors that needs a refresher on reviewing, approving, and validating timecards for student employees!
• This virtual training will cover biweekly payroll processes, timecard tips + tricks, and other Ignite tools to help supervisors manage timecard submissions and approvals.
• Upcoming trainings on August 27th (9 - 10 AM), August 28th (10 - 11 AM); and August 28th (2 - 3 PM)
  *All trainings are scheduled before first timecards of Fall 2025 are due!
