New Monthly Timecard Certifications for Student Workers

Here are some fast facts about the new timecard certifications that are coming in September for biweekly student employees!

• The Department of Education requires manual certification of timecards for FWS student employees by direct supervisors. ​
• Student Employment has configured a monthly timecard certification that will be assigned to ALL biweekly student supervisors in Ignite. This goes into effect for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. ​
• Biweekly timecard approvals will not change. This is an extra review to ensure correct hours are entered and catch errors early. ​
• Supervisors will need to work in collaboration with delegates to complete these monthly reviews. ​

• Communication and training materials will be provided to supervisors ahead of the first approvals in September (for August hours). ​Student Employment will also provide cheat sheets and virtual training sessions to supervisors in the coming weeks!
